Center for Environment, Science and Economics

The environment is in peril. Pollution, decimation of species, and global warming pose a threat to humans and all living creatures and plants. The Center for The Environment, Science and Economics seeks to open dialog about these threats to the environment through education, dialogue and action. The members of The Memnosyne Foundation realize that if the problems of the environment are to be addressed, the economic aspects of the problem must be recognized up front. Therefore the activities of the Center will include the financial implications of attempting to save our Earth. The current projects of the Center include an environmental dialogue series, a conference on sustainable investing and the Dallas Green Expo.

Environmental Dialogue Series
The Memnosyne Dialogue Series on the Environment provides a forum for experts and concerned individuals from many diverse backgrounds to discuss problems and solutions from different perspectives. Facilitated by Orbits of Influence, the format for these events is a speaker acting as a conversation catalyst and small breakout groups assigned to specific subjects for dialogue, conclusions and process of solutions.  Evaluations of the events have been very positive and participants continue to network with others from their small and larger groups.

  • Clean Air and Greenhouse Gasses - University of Texas at Dallas (2008)
  • Energy Independence: Pickens Plan vs. Gore Challenge  - Jewish Community Center (2009)
